Configuring RAID0 on FC2-test3
Hi, I am trying to set up software raid partitions of 75Gb each. Those disks are on IDE1 which is an ordinary port (thus no RAID Controller installed!).
I managed creating the partitions and an array with help of DiskDruid, but yet it seems I cannot boot off this RAID0 array. The warning message I receive is "Bootable partitions can only be on RAID1 devices", heres my config:
/dev/hda1 vfat 2047 [<-windows98 needed for sat equipment]
/dev/hda2 software raid 74293
/dev/hdb1 software raid 74293
/dev/hdb2 swap 1024 (512Mb internal memory)
Is there a way to configure this machine as a raid0 machine, my best guess is to create a standard ext3 partition from which I can boot the kernel, but any suggestions about its size; preferably 3 kernels should be stored (e.g. Original RH kernel, latest compiled and tuned kernel, testkernel). Please let me know what to do to get things working properly, thanks in advance (TIA!)
