Can't boot fedora 3 from cd

Hi! I downloaded the iso file for fedora 3, then burned the file using cd record. I changed the bios to boot from the cd-rom, but I receive the message: No boot record found. I checked the file with cd5sum, and the file on the cd----both passed. Why is there no boot record? What am i missing? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Did you burn the isos as cd images or did you just copy them directly to cd.

I followed the instructions at the fedora site---whether that burns them or copies them----I don't know. Thanks.
