lmingione LQ Newbie Registered: May 2006 Posts: 2 Rep:	Blank Screen on Core 5 PPC Install on iMac Hi Has anyone had experience installing Core 5 on a Mac? My particular problem is tha my 800 mhz flatpanel iMac (1st edition) will not install. I downloaded the DVD for PPC and and the SHA1SUM is correct. However I can boot into the install prompt but when I type linux the kernel loads but soon after the screen goes blank and the process hangs and the machine reboots about 5 min later. I think the Xwindow system does not talk to the video hardware correctly but I a not sure. ANyone had any success?? Larry
