Audio Driver Problem with onboard sound
I have been using linux for a month now and cant seem to fix my audio. It does not work in KDE or GNOME running Fedora Core 1. When I go sound card configuration it says no sound card detected. I have an onboard sound card. When i run Knoppix 11-19-03 3.3 It detects it and works great. Here is what knoppix detects it as Crystal CS4235 : WSS/SB . I am assuming it uses some kind of Sound Blaster Driver. When it detects the card it says driver is ad1848 in knoppix while detecting(if i remember correctly). If anyone can help much appreciated. Post if I left out need info.
