anaconda kickstart

this is whaa i want to do:

-have an automated installation to the only hard drive on the system that happens to be removable(the hd works with a regular installation)

-i would like to install programs not included on the cd such as codecs and mp3 playability

i was wondering how i could do that with kickstart and perhasps the system-config-kickstart app. i tried entering the commands i would use to install the 3rd party stuff into the post-script section of the kickstart app but when i did linux ks=/dev/sdb1/ks.cfg it said that the kick start file was broken or something
