Just installed Fedora 9.
First Reboot and computer hangs on 'GRUB Loading stage2. Read Error' message Super Grab Disk didn't help. New to Linux, running HP Compaq Presario Intell Celeron CPU 3.20GHz, 448 MB of RAM, 15GB HD Thank You, |
Take your knoppix live cd and boot and from terminal as root post us your fdisk -l and grub.conf . If you have not been able to boot you may have a bad installation.

Hold on ... (I am not a computer science guy, I am a carpenter). Let me figure out how to do it. There is Barnes & Nobble store 10 blocks away, need to go look in some books or something. Have to learn it someday, why not now.
I ran KNOPPIX twice and got confused after I pushed the programs button. Could not find my modem to establish the internet connection and shut it down. This is as far as it went. |
Stick the Fedora disk in and boot that (CD1 or DVD). Should have an option to boot a disk system.
Try that - that will determine if the rest of the install went o.k. Fixing grub will (should) be easy if so. |
