yum upgrade FC1 to FC2 new kernel will not boot
I have recently did a fresh install of fedora core 1. I do not have a CD burner so I went with what I had. I have been using Linux off and on for a couple of years using Slack 10 and Ubuntu since Warty. I want to use fedora and would like to get FC4 but funds wont allow it so I thought I would do it the hard way. I did a yum upgrade to FC2 and after a couple of tries I have succeeded. The only problem is that I cannot boot into the new 2.6.10-1.77_FC2 kernel. I can boot the the old kernel.
The problem is after the machine boots up and the grub menu comes up I select the new kernel then the screen goes black and thats it. I let it set for 10 minutes and it will not do anything.
Any help will be most appreciated, thanks Kelean.
