I'm trying to upgrade my xine-lib, but it just doesn't find the update, although I know
there exists an upgrade...

if I try yum search.....it actually finds the upgrade....
if I take the exact match from the found and tried upgrade or update again...again no match...

why is that so...that is not the first package I wanted to update and experience that....
it happens quite often...

my repositories are:

[CODE]
core [1/8]
livna [2/8]
flash [3/8]
jpackage-fedora [4/8]
updates [5/8]
freshrpms [6/8]
jpackage-generic [7/8]
extras
[CODE]

not sure it will help, but it normally corrects all of my yum issues

don't have the exact syntax but something like

yum clean all

have you tried that yet?

yep, I try that very often and sometimes it works...

but still, I don't understand that if I try yum search it finds the update and if I try yum update there is no match at all....

that's weird, or is that just normal

i find its buggy like that, i havent dug to deep, since a yum clean all resolved my issues
