Yum not Working in Fedora 4

Dear All,

I am not able to install any software using Yum. I am new to linux OS. I am getting the following error.

[root@raja latest]# yum install java
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/yum", line 28, in ?
import yummain
File "/usr/share/yum-cli/", line 24, in ?
import cli
File "/usr/share/yum-cli/", line 29, in ?
import output
File "/usr/share/yum-cli/", line 27, in ?
from yum.misc import sortPkgObj
ImportError: cannot import name sortPkgObj
[root@raja latest]#

Kindly Help me solve this issue.

First you should know that FC4 is in legacy mode and may not be supported shortly. Any reason not to use FC5/6????

Second you need to first yum date yum and related rpm packages manually, start by downloading;
