Angry yum cannot find anything

i want xine on my fedora core 1 but yum can't find it....!

on a newly installed fc1:
wrote: yum check-update
when i use: yum install xine

and all i get is:

Gathering header information file(s) from server(s)
Server: Fedora Core 1 - i386 - Base
Server: Fedora.us Extras (Stable)
Server: Fedora Core 1 - i386 - Released Updates
Finding updated packages
Downloading needed headers
Cannot find a package matching mplayer
No actions to take

in yum.conf i have:

[main]
cachedir=/var/cache/yum
debuglevel=2
logfile=/var/log/yum.log
pkgpolicy=newest
distroverpkg=fedora-release
tolerant=1
exactarch=1

[base]
name=Fedora Core $releasever - $basearch - Base
baseurl=http://fedora.redhat.com/releases/fedora-core-$releasever

[updates-released]
name=Fedora Core $releasever - $basearch - Released Updates
baseurl=http://fedora.redhat.com/updates/released/fedora-core-$releasever

#[updates-testing]
#name=Fedora Core $releasever - $basearch - Unreleased Updates
#baseurl=http://fedora.redhat.com/updates/testing/fedora-core-$releasever

[fedora-stable]
name=Fedora.us Extras (Stable)
baseurl=http://mirrors.kernel.org/fedora.us/fedora/fedora/$releasever/$basearch/yum/stable
http://fedora.quicknet.nl/fedora/fedora/$releasever/$basearch/yum/stable
http://download.fedora.us/fedora/fedora/$releasever/$basearch/yum/stable

Hi.

Can yum install other things?

Incidentally, there may not be a package called xine. Xine usually comes as xine-libs and xine-ui.

Add http://rpm.livna.org as explained on the website there. It depends on the http://fedora.us extras and carries the software with legal concerns.

Its not in the Fedora mirror repositories for YUM standard. I just used apt-get

$ apt-get install xine*

5 mins later I was watching a DVD.

It also worked on totem and mplayer
