yum & Ksb

I have just installed Fedora C4 and everything works
I have 2 questions, how do you access yum to update and is there a CD/DVD writing program like Ksb.

To update your system from the terminal using yum, run:

yum update

It’s really that simple.

The default configuration will automatically direct you to one of the fedora mirrors, but you can modify the repo files in /etc/yum.repos.d if you want to select specific mirrors (see the fedora mirror list at http://fedora.redhat.com/download/mirrors.html ) using the baseurl= option, instead of the standard mirrorlist= option.

For more info about yum, see:

man yum

Yes I did mean k3b.
I put the install DVD and browsed the files, on finding it I just clicked, it asked me for the root password and then installed the program.
As it was not installed by default, i never thought about looking at the DVD for the install file.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

If you have a broadband connection you can use YUM to install packages instead from interent. They are usually newer than the ones on your DVD.
