Youtube in Konqueror

Folks,

How can we view Youtube videos in Konqueror ? At the moment, accessing a Youtube page yields a black square. I did install this free gnash (or whatever it's called) shockwave player but I guess this has nothing to do with this - or does it ?

What packages should I tell yum to install so that it's possible to see Youtube videos in Konqueror ?

Cheers.

I can play them using Flash player 9 for Linux. Install flash player 9 into your Mozilla or Firefox plugins directory, then run Konqueror -> Settings -> Configure Konqueror -> Plugins and make sure your Mozilla or Firefox plugin directory is listed in the list of directories to search for plugins. After that click on "scan for new plugins".

Yes, all you need is Flash Player 9. The official release is out there for Linux and is very simple to install. By default I believe it installs into /home/user/.mozilla/plugins or something like that. You can confirm that by checking in that directory if there's a file called "libflashplayer.so"

I got the installer from Adobe but then it made me realize a seemingly important detail:

ERROR: Your architecture, \'x86_64\', is not supported by the
Adobe Flash Player installer.

Is there a way around this ?

Cheers.

I've heard of a project called nspluginwrapper, that allows you to use plugins meant for 32 bit platforms on 64 bit systems. Search for "nspluginwrapper" on google and hopefully you will find some helpful info.
