Yet another vnc question

Hi, i just installed fedora for the first time. So be gentle i'm a n00b.

So i got this distro running on an old box of mine that I have networked with my primary pc. The first thing I need to do is get a vnc server up and running so i can take control of it from my primary pc that way I don't have to be switching monitors. I started off by looking at the services that were running and saw that vnc server didn't want to start...so i just got lucky and typed "vncserver" on the command line and then it created an account and started the server. My questions are,

1. Why does it create it on port 1, and increments for each additional vnc server started. How do I change this?
2. When i tested it out from a remote client i noticed it was different than the windows vnc servers i've used before, it only allows for a terminal and thats it. I don't quite understand why its doing that, since if i wanted just the cmd line i would just use ssh. Could someone clarify this for me?

Looking through these forums i found out that the config file was located here /etc/sysconfig/vncserver. Is there documentation on what options I can use here. Also, I bought one of those "24 hour" fedora books...boy what a mistake...its pretty basic and it basically just shows whats available and how to use it... Any Websites or book recommendations for fedora would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for any help.

Better late than never.......In fix mine but using core 4

In terminal as root start vi to edit the following file....
vi ~./vnc/xstartup

This file will have instructions in it to get a normal desk top. Essentially remove the comments (#) from the next 2 lines and then comment out all the rest of the lines below. Restart vnc. Worked a treat on mine.
