XFCE installation problem

Hi,

I'm trying to install xfce on my fedora 4 system.I want to install xfce via the graphical installation wizard.I'm trying to extract it I get an error:
Code:
[root@e89209 Desktop]# ./xfce4-4.2.1.1-installer.bin
Verifying file integrity... OK.
Extracting the installer... OK.
Checking for usable C compiler... gcc
Checking for usable C++ compiler... g++
Checking for GNU make... gmake
Checking for package config tool... pkg-config
Checking for GLib (GModule) >= 2.2.0... not found, see /root/.xfce4.installer-log for details
Cleaning up... OK.
It says that I need Glib.I googled for glib and found this site:
click
I downloaded glib-2.6.6.tar.bz2,but I don't have any idea how to install it...Could anyone please help me?

kind regards
Deelk

Edit:
I'm reading the install instructions included in the file.I'm very sorry for this stupid topic. But please don't close it,I might get more problems.

Edit:
Damn,I hate dependencies,I've installed like 3 dependencies and it still asks for some more.Is there a apt/yum repo that includes xfce?I can't handle all thos dependencies anymore. Please help.

Code:
$yum list | grep -i xfce
xfce is definitely in the xfce repos.
