xfce 4.4 binaries

Greets all.Well basicly I was a bit sick of wasting too much system recources for the gui and I thought I should give Xfce a try. I really like it's ...simplicity.I even found the lack of desktop icon ability ...funny, no ...nice. I like the simplicity and stability. I've always been a kde user but I'm just tired of waiting for it to become swifty and more stable. Now I really wanna give xfce 4.4 atry since I'm running 4.2. Compiling can get a bit messy, but I'll do it if necessary. Any Idea on when any 4.4 rpms might come out ..and if not ...I'd like to build some. Any advice would be apreciated. Thanks.

I don't know what version is included with fedora core 5, but i strongly recommend that you stick up to it, why? because it will work without problems and extra configuration.

However, if you are an adventure guy like me you can always compile the source and enjoy maximum performance.

Make shure you have a standard development environment:

gcc
development packages for libgtk
development packages for libgtk2
pkgconfig
make

You can find additional info. here:

Thanks very much. That's just it ...there isn't a version included in fc5. I'll keep on it, thanks.
