i am running FC4, and i need .Xdefaults. But i can not find the file. I tried creating one but it is ignored. Is FC4 doing .Xdefaults some other way? I need it for matlab.

you could try .Xresources

i was having fun with those files and Aterm on FC4, seemed to be ignoring them, having them both did the trick though
