x86_64 and Live
Hello all,
Noob question: I have a intel core 2 duo machine, that means i get the x86_64 version of fedora 10 right? "Fedora 10 Alpha x86_64 DVD" Whats the difference between "Fedora 10 Alpha x86_64 DVD" and "Fedora 10 Alpha x86_64 Live" - is it just one of those live CDs you can just run fedora on? I know this is noobish, but I really need a confirmation. Thanks all |
Do not use Fedora10Alpha. It is not ready yet.
If you have a 64-bit system then x86-64 or IA86-64 should be ok |
ok thank you

See: Which Files Do I Download? for an explanation of the distributions.
You can run 32 bit (i386) or 64 bit (i86_64) on your system. |
Very useful, thank you. I have started downloading now.
Not a great start to my Fedora 9 adventure. I am having trouble which to download, can't imagine what it's going to be like trying to using it! |
What is the full name of your CPU? or see your Mainboard manual for the 32-bit /64-bit part
|
It's a 32 bit operating system. Intel Core 2 Duo T585.
