x86_64 and Live

Hello all,

Noob question: I have a intel core 2 duo machine, that means i get the x86_64 version of fedora 10 right? "Fedora 10 Alpha x86_64 DVD"

Whats the difference between "Fedora 10 Alpha x86_64 DVD" and "Fedora 10 Alpha x86_64 Live" - is it just one of those live CDs you can just run fedora on?

I know this is noobish, but I really need a confirmation.

Thanks all

Do not use Fedora10Alpha. It is not ready yet.

If you have a 64-bit system then x86-64 or IA86-64 should be ok

ok thank you

See: Which Files Do I Download? for an explanation of the distributions.

You can run 32 bit (i386) or 64 bit (i86_64) on your system.

Very useful, thank you. I have started downloading now.

Not a great start to my Fedora 9 adventure. I am having trouble which to download, can't imagine what it's going to be like trying to using it!

What is the full name of your CPU? or see your Mainboard manual for the 32-bit /64-bit part

It's a 32 bit operating system. Intel Core 2 Duo T585.
