X Server fun with Fedora 10 and my LCD Television

So... with the DVI/HDMI connection, X server never renders properly on my LCD television with Fedora 10 (actually Mythdora 10).
I see that the xorg.conf has been deprecated but is this what I should be using anyway?

Deprecated or not

you can still use it:

http://fedoraforum.org/forum/showthread.php?t=204921

$ su -c "yum install system-config-display"
$ Xorg -configure :1

"it'll generate xorg.conf.new in the current directory. copy it to /etc/X11/xorg.conf and edit to add the SHMConfig entry. Then restart X (ctrl-alt-backspace)"

Can't help with your problem otherwise. I've been researching this because I need to turn the touch pad off. HATE those things.

Thanks friend... I got it to work but the rabbit hole went a bit further...
From a clean install, I got the ATI Catalyst Control Center installed after a 'yum update'
