The "switchdesk" command would be one way.

Well, what do i do after i type in switchdesk GNOME or switchdesk KDE or w/e
Do i restart or something? I need to get the X server to start first.. and i am in server mode or w/e right now? LOL

Well, nobody can read your mind to find out what files you have deleted. Where exactly your X server fails, should become visible in its log file below /var/log.

You could start an X session manually with "startx" or restart the current run-level.
