Wireless tools Update
 

I tried getting wireless-tools-28-0.pre4.1.fc3:1 update and this is what I got.

There was a package dependency problem: The message was:
Unresolvable chain of dependencies:
Networkmanager 0.3.3-1.cvs200500112.1.fc Requires libiw.so.27
Kdenetwork 3.3.1-1 Requires libiw.so.27
Please modify your package selection and try again

Anyone seen this before? This update just came out.

I am using yum to attempt the same update and I am seeing something similar. If I do a 'yum list wireless-tools', it reports the following:

Installed Packages
wireless-tools.i386 1:27-0.pre25.3 installed
Available Packages
wireless-tools.i386 1:28-0.pre4.1.fc3 updates-released

When I do a 'yum update', however, I get the following mess:

In both cases, it seems like there is something amiss with the dependencies. It looks like it is trying to drop back to a previous (and earlier version) of a package I already have installed.

Hopefully someone can shed some light on how to get the update applied.

I was getting the same errors and once it just randomly worked. I don't think I did anything inparticular. I went as far as uninstall NetworkManager, NetworkManager-gnome, kdenetwork, and the wireless-tools and reinstalling and grabbing the latest one without any luck. So I can honestly say it did just randomly work.. :confused:
