wine and fedora core 2 test 3

does anyone know about wine with fedora, I tried to install it today from the rpm's and it doesnt work, it puts out the error

"wine: failed to create the process heap"

and thats it. I did a search on google and it seems other people are having this problem, but i was wondering if this is being fixed or what. This is the first time i have used fedora it seems good, and alot more stable than mandrake 10.0 community but wine doesnt seem to like it..

Please submit a bug report to the Fedora Project. When people find these things, the only way they'll get fixed is if the Fedora team knows that lots of people who have the same issue. :-)

I found this on somewhere on Google.

as root, run in terminal
echo 0 > /proc/sys/kernel/exec-shield

then wine will work, but some error message will display... I am still looking for a better way to walk around this, since I have to do this after every boot.

This is a known issue for wine (due to the new 2.6 kernel memory changes)Wine HQ Newsletter 223

The RedHat workaround is to use the setarch command:
setarch i386 wine ...
Making the app use an old 3G/1G memory split and not the new larger 4G/4G VM split.
