Window default decoration, Fedora 8

Whenever I open a window in Fedora 8, it starts in a position in which I cannot see the window decoration.
I think this is a problem with the default decorations, because if remove compiz-fusion from startup, none of the windows have their decorations.
When I have compiz-fusion on, the decorations are there properly, however the windows pop-up so that I cannot see the top bar.
I hope that is enough information.
Thanks.

There's a Window Management section in the CompizConfig Settings Manager. Try enabling the put plugin and under the Misc Options tab put a checkmark against Avoid Offscreen, see if that helps.

That worked, but I had to take window decorations off.
Thanks a lot.
Now the only problem is getting it to start with the correct theme.
In my startup, I have /usr/local/bin/compiz_startup.sh

Here's the file:
Code:
sleep 10
compiz-manager --replace -c emerald &
I have tried putting in sleep and emerald --replace &, but it doesn't make a difference.
It only works if I manually type in emerald --replace & in the terminal every time that I log in.

I had that problem too so I just made an application launcher on my toolbar that runs 'emerald --replace'.
