Win 7 and Fedora 15 -- GPT Disk Label Error
Gateway Core i7 64-bit system with Windows 7. Shrank the Win7 partition to free up 700 gigabytes on a 1.5 terabyte hard drive.

So Windows has the first 3 paritions sda1 is the rescue for Win7 (17 gig) sda2 is the system for Win7 (100 megabytes) and sda3 is the OS itself and everything else (about 700 gigabytes)

I try to do a custom install of Fedora 15 64-bit and it gives me an error message that the drive lacks a GPT disk label.

What to do, and how? Googled, but didn't see anyhting that I could translate into actions I could do.

Have you tried pre-allocating your Fedora partitions - using a liveCD ?.

No, I simply used Fedora to create partitions in the freed-up space during the actual install. What is the rationale for pre-allocating partitions and not letting the Fedora 15 dvd do it?
