Will Fedora 18 run on 1gb of ram?

I acquired a Toshiba Satellite A135-S4527 laptop at a yard sale and it has 1gb of ram. CPU is 1.7mhz. It was missing the battery and the HDD. I put a HDD in there and used the power supply from my much newer Toshiba Satellite and installed Fedora 12 because that's all I had in 32 bit. Well it seems to perform beautifully and I assume (I know) it's okay because it boots fine and runs Firefox, connects to the wireless router, etc. So now I'm curious as to whether it will run Fedora 18. If so I'll start downloading Fedora 18 32 bit tonight. Thanks ahead of time.

As a minimal 1GB RAM is required.

Just keep in mind that how much you use RAM is directly connected on what processes active you have. You can probably run mos of the new O.S. on 1 GB but fail on something older that has many processes running on background.

Yes 1 GB RAM, 400 MHZ CPU and 10 GB HD are the requirements.
