Wiimote using CWiiD on Fedora 9 - does this work for ANYONE?

Hi I am running Fedora 9. I have installed the packages bluez, cwiid and the other few that looked related from Add/Remove Software.

When I try to use my wii remote:
Code:
[root@localhost austin]# wminput
Put Wiimote in discoverable mode now (press 1+2)...
Socket connect error (control channel)
unable to connect

[root@localhost austin]# lswm -al
Put Bluetooth devices in discoverable mode now...
00:22:4C:9E:A3:6D 0x002504 Nintendo RVL-CNT-01

[root@localhost austin]# wminput 00:22:4C:9E:A3:6D
Put Wiimote in discoverable mode now (press 1+2)...
Socket connect error (control channel)
unable to connect
Have also tried
Code:
[austin@localhost ~]$ sudo ldconfig /usr/local/lib

[austin@localhost austin]# sudo modprobe uinput

[austin@localhost austin]# sudo chmod -R 777 /dev/input/uinput
and also running everything as root.

I can't find any posts about the wii remote in Fedora - has anyone had luck with this??

Cheers,
Austin.

To clarify, I am using an external bluetooth V2 adapter that works fine with my Nokia phone. I'm not too sure how to follow that compatibility table - is that for devices that are compatible with the Wiiremote? Surely mine must be ok if it shows up?
