Question Who is this 'tclhttpd' ?!

Hi Guys

I installed Fedora 7 64bit yesterday and everything is working fine. But I don't know, somehow a user called 'tclhttpd' (userID 500) is created with its home in /var/www/tclhttpd. The directory contains two folders and two readme files.

Content of the readme file appears like
Quote:
This HTTPD is written in Tcl and Tk.
Written by Stephen Uhler and Brent Welch of Sun Microsystems Laboratory.
Brent is now at Panasas, Inc.
See the file "license.terms" for information on usage and redistribution
of this file, and for a DISCLAIMER OF ALL WARRANTIES.

Version: 3.5.1

STARKIT QUICK START

tclkit tclhttpd3.5.1.kit -port 80 -docRoot htmldir -library tcldir

The server loads all the tcl sources in the library. Try also
tclkit tclhttpd3.5.1.kit -help....
During the init process, it always fails to identify this user
Code:
Starting tclhttpd: tclhttpd: Unable to start user 'tclhttpd' [FAILED]
What is this supposed to mean? Can I safely delete this user?

Help
Thanks

Look, if you're not using the server, just remove it (system-config-services) from the services being started during boot.

If you do need the server, create the user.
