where is the wine config file located?

I have installed wine and read this page
http://www.winehq.com/site/howto
and don't know how to set up my cd ron drive for wine.
i almost posted this question here http://www.frankscorner.org/
but was hoping for advice specific to fedora core

can someone help me configure wine to use my cd rom drive on Fedora?

well if you followed them steps in should be in the .wine folder located in your home directory, by the name of "config" ..
and also judging by them steps it states :
Quote:

Wine also needs a configuration file. Copy the file config from wine-YYYYMMDD/documentation/samples to $HOME/.wine.
so if it doesn't already exist then the above shows where you get a default copy ... and if that doesn't exist then you can go to the download section on frankscorner and grab winetools, and use it to set up your fake windows drive + config file .

will notepad work if i botched the install?

the "windows" directory's are all there, and notepad runs. I typed a new document and saved it to the virtual C.

I DLed the tar and extracted it to file:/home/osat3ch/wine/ it put a folder there wine-20040121/ is the configure file there the one I should edit?
there is another directory named wine elsewhere on my harddrive but the only file that it contains is a "make" file.
