The source is a 32M download. I'm back on MDK for know.

BTW, installed ubuntu the other day. Also no kernel source packed on the distro CD.

A separate kernel-source i386.rpm is not needed and would be redundant. The kernel source code is contained within the kernel src.rpm package. The Fedora Core 3 release notes explain how to extract the source code and set up a directory in which you can build your custom kernel.

Here's a link to a "HOWTO" on installing FC3 kernel source, written by Mauriat Miranda. It's good schtuff.
