Where is my sound

I have installed fedora and reinstalled and for most part sound works fine. Now on this install I can't get sound working. It list my soundcard like always.I run alsamixer and raise volume levels.I have opened volume control and unmuted all but still no sound. When I run soundcard detection I get nothing for sound. What else can I check to get it working. Now if i was to uninstall and do a fresh install bet it works lol.

Are you sure your speakers are connected and turned on (it happened to me!)

If you want a good high-performance low-latency sound-optimized kernel, try the Planet CCRMA kernel .

I had nighmarish sound issues after installing FC3. The sound worked in Gnome but not KDE. I figured out that KDE forgot to put a "wav" fader control in Kmix, so I had to run alsamixer from the command line
Code:
alsamixer
in order to get volume.
