Whats the difference between Fedora 2 test releases and final version?

Hi.

Whats the difference between the two? What if I install a test release and then install all the patches, will that make it like a final release?

Is 'TEST' written on all the wallpapers of the test releases? (http://img.osnews.com/img/4660/fedora5.png)

Thanks.

There were three test releases. There is not guarantee that upgrading between test releases--and upgrading from a test release to the final release--works withoutproblems. There is no guarantee that the versions of packages in the final release are higher than those of previous test releases. It can happen that an upgrade from test releases using Yum or AptRpm does not apply all modifications as the Fedora Core system installer Anaconda. The recommended and tested upgrade path is to upgrade from Fedora Core 1 using the official installation media (CDs, DVD, bootdisks) or to install from scratch.
