What to bind to media buttons ...

Hey gang I'm using lineakd to bind programs to my media buttons on my dell e1505. I have it working fine. My only question is in FC5 I had bound a certian command to where instead of just seeing the volume change on the little try icon, something would pop up in the middle of my screen and show me the volume changing as well as mute and unmute. Now the only thing that shows volume change is the little icon in the top right corner and using amixer's toggle option doesn't change the icon at all. What can I bind to it to get the graphical appearence?

Thanks
