What is fedora FC4 default partition map?

I need to reconstruct my disk partitions (accidentally fdisk'd /dev/hdc instead of /dev/sdc...). Does anyone know what the default partition map is? It's usually one small boot partition and then the rest of the drive, but I need to know the partition boundaries...

Thanks in advance for any help you can give!

The default is two partitions, one swap and one the rest. The recommended is one /boot partition 100-MB, one swap 2x system RAM and one the rest of the hard drive space. If you can attempt to recover by booting into rescue mode and using parted. Start by using the parted command;

rescue 0 100

The next partition(s) should start at the next higher number then the previous partition. If you have a problem and can remember the exact partition sizes and order use the SystemRescueCD and run_qtparted to restore the partition table. In the future a good idea would be to create a backup partition table and save it someplace, for example;

dd if=/dev/hdc of=BackupPartTable.img bs=512 count=1

Save the image file someplace off the hard drive (usb memory or floppy disk) then you can restore the partition table if you make this mistake again.
