What is DSA signature ?

Hi all,

I encounter the following type of message whenever i install any rpm package using rpm command.

Warning: <package name.rpm> V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID <some numbers>.

but installation successfully completes. What is the problem ?

Can anyone give the full details from background information ?
Thanks

DSA signature is a additional precaution that you have downloaded file correctly and/or a correct file whichever you prefer. Basically, each .rpm you download has it's own electronic signature which should be shipped with package. Anyhow, if you are confident about your download and source of .rpm package you may disregard the warnings on missing DSA files.
