what is add or remove program
 

hai

I want to remove some software packages in my fedora 9 ,for that i have clicked add or remove ,it has displayed the no of packages installed in my system

but ,when i clicked in a particular package it show that

"unable to find the repository path ,please verify the path and then try again"

what does it mean?...

This MAY be that your system still points to the original install CD/DVD repo as its first repo.
In the Add/Remove window, at the top there is a menu option like 'Edit' which will bring up the repo list for you to edit. Just de-select the CD/DVD one and you should be good.
(Don't have Fedora in front of me right now)

Could it also mean you don't have an internet connection, and it can't find the online data base?
