When doing an upgrade to FC5 (from the DVD), you are given the option to update/upgrade the GRUB installation. I had a couple of bad exerperiences in the past where even though the new installation was supposed to simply add the new OS to the list of GRUB options, GRUB was altered and I had to completely reconfigure everything in it to restore the existing boot options.
Anyone had any problems upgrading from FC4 to FC5 with the GRUB conf.?
Thank you for your replies. Good idea, that is what I will do. I don't know how everyone else feels about it, but I have always had better luck with a major upgrade by waiting til the distro is released as freebie with a magazine (Linux Format, for example). That is how I intend to upgrade.
