Want to reinstall Gnome, basic applets are crashing
Installed FC3 and was liking it.
I was fooling around with yum installs and I installed openswan from dag. I also switched my ethernet ip from dhcp to manual. Upon reboot, all my basic Gnome applets, like Window Chooser and Show Desktop crashed upon login. I tried to readd them, but they crash on my attempts. Now, when I minimize a window, I lose it. I tried uninstalling openswan and reseting my ethernet to dhcp; that didn't help. I'd like to get those applets working again. Is there something like a Gnome reinstall or repair I can do to get those applets working again? |
I sometimes have that sort of problem.
I made a note of gnome configuration files in the home directory that you can delete to make gnome revert to default settings. Don't know if it will help but they are: .gconfd .gnome .gnome2_private .gnome_private .gqviewrc .gtkrc-1.2-gnome2 .gconf .gnome2 .gnome-desktop .nautilus |
Delete gnome files won't help
Thanks for the advice, unfortunately, that didn't work :(
I still get the errors. |
