"w" does not display users logged in

Hey all,
Got a server running FC4 ( 2.6.14-1.1637_FC4 ). I have set up multiple user accounts and when I am root and run the command
Code:
w
None of the other users are displayed if logged in. I know for a FACT that users are logged in when "w" reports that they are not. I have checked /var/log/messages and top reports activity from that user. Any idea why Fedora does not report these users logged in?
Thanks so much

Josh

There is a problem somewhere on your system because on my FC5 and CentOS installation "w" works as expected.

"how" are the users "logged in"?
as a normal account via console/X? or do they connect to a service?
what is the complete output of <w> or <who>?

Hey,
Output of "w" displays the root user, and me the current user. All users (including me) are logging on via ssh.
"who" produces the same output (same users).

Would the fact that they are ssh"ing" in, cause this issue. But then why would it display me.

thanks
