Virtual Machine question

Hello all,

Simple question -

We are going to be installing an application that will run on Linux Red Hat Enterprise Server 3, 4.

The server it will be going on is running VMWare Server with Fedora Core 8 as the base OS. Will it be a problem to create a new VM and install Red Hat Entrprise Server on it?

Just want to make sure before purchasing Red Hat ES.

You could get the equivalent copy of CentOS, and try installing your application on that first. If it works on CentOS, it'll almost certainly work on RedHat ES. The only difference is CentOS is free; they're otherwise almost 100% binary compatible. See www.centos.org for more info.

OK not a bad idea - I will give that a shot as well.
