Using MAKEDEV with UDEV

Hi Guys,

I am running Fedora 3 on a test system at work and I ran /dev/MAKEDEV fb to create framebuffer devices. I didn't have a framebuffer driver in the kernel so I want to remove them.

However, I can't see them listed in /dev. However whenever I reboot, the startup is looking for /dev/fb0

So therefore they have been created somehow somewhere or are being referenced by something. Is udev doing this? How do I now reverse what I did and remove all /dev/fb* devices?

Thanks.
