Hi i have created under my home directory the .bash_profile file the .profile and i am still trying to set correctly some environmental variables....

The .bash_profile and the .profile include the following


# .bash_profile

# Get the aliases and functions
if [ -f ~/.bashrc ]; then
. ~/.bashrc
fi

# User specific environment and startup programs

export ORACLE_BASE=/oracle10
export ORACLE_HOME=$ORACLE_BASE/product/10.1.0/db_1
export ORACLE_SID=cs
export ORACLE_TERM=xterm
export PATH=$ORACLE_BASE/bin:$PATH
export PATH=/usr/bin:$PATH
export PATH=$PATH:$HOME/bin
export PATH=$PATH:/oracle10/product/10.1.0/db_1/bin/

#export PATH
unset USERNAME
unset TNS_ADMIN
#unset ORACLE_HOME
ulimit -u 16384 -n 65536
export NLS_LANG='AMERICAN_AMERICA.EL8ISO8859P7'
