URGENT!!! sound driver problem.....


im using fc4... was working fine for days... now it started showing me some error regarding sound..
not able to play songs(no sound output)..
error shown when i login to my desktop..
error it shows...
"
Sound server information message:

Error while initialising the sound driver.

device: default can't be opened for playback(Invalid argument)

The sound server will continue,using the null output device
"

this is wat tht error it is showing...

this is wat tht error it is showing...
It would help to tell us what window manager you are using. Also, have you tried running the sound card detection application again? Make sure that another sound server or application is not using your sound card. Also, if you run the "sound card detection" program, make sure that you select the correct sound card in case you have an on-board and pci sound card.

You don't want to have more than one sound card active. They will most likely conflict and cause a problem like what you are having. If you do have more than one sound card and one of those is built in to the motherboard, you want to get the built in sound card working and remove the other(s).
