Upgrade from FC2 to FC3 broke audio -- "Unable to reset OSS driver"
I have an audio trigger on subversion checkins. Server might not always run X. With FC2 in the console I could use "PLAY boing.wav" and hear it. I used this trick in the bash scripts. Now I upgraded to FC3, everything else is fine except for the machine being silent and shedloads of console messages saying "sox: Unable to reset OSS driver. Possibly accessing an invalid file/device". The sound device is onboard the m/b, never really looked before because it always just worked.
Now heres the annoying part - from KDE sound is fine, i.e. I ran KMix and pointed to the WAV file and it played. So how can I fix the console player please? Thanks...
