Updating Perl from 5.8.6 to 5.8.7

I have installed FC4 with the development tools so it installed with Perl (5.8.6) and I then downloaded & installed the ActivePerl 5.8.7 RPM but the command "perl" is still running 5.8.6.

How do I "redirect" it properly or is there another/better way to upgrade my Perl version?

If you feel adventurous, you can find the Perl 5.8.7 package for FC5 in the "development" repository.

I'm too busy to feel adventurous. I just want to upgrade Perl to ActiveState Perl 5.8.7 & get the Tk modules installed and working. I am guessing the Perl installed by Fedora isn't ActiveState as the Tk modules are not included...
