Updating Fedora

Hi!

what can be the best way to update from fedora core 5 to core 6?

last time I tried from yum it lost all the partition settings and the server couldn't work anymore...

is there a safe way?

well yum is safe if you are up to date in the first place according to the latest fc5 releases and read any notes on sites like fedorawiki.org. depends what you really mean by "update" though. you can easily install fc6 on top of an fc5 installation without reformatting /home and such...
