up2date not working

up2date downloads the updates and started the rpm configure thing and it stops there
it doesnt do anything after that point and exiting out prompts the force quit option
is there any way i can fix this
i am using fedora core 2

Try doing a rpm --rebuilddb

Try using yum or apt-get. yum, I think is provided as a part of fedora core. It works better than up2date. Type man yum for info on the options.

I just tried this and it hangs up like Aa few other things since I updated last. The processes hang open.
