Dear all,

How can we uninstall the installed libraries in my system? Let suppose i have installed some libraries from RPM and some from source code and now i want to unistall them all. Can any body please tell me that what will be its procedure?

Currently i m using fedora core3. Thanks in advance.

You can remove rpm installed software using the -e option. "rpm -e packagename".
Suppose that you know what the file is but you don't know which package it came from.
Then you can use the -f option to find which package supplied the file:
rpm -qf /usr/lib/demolibrary.so

Software that you install from a tarball, using ./configure; make; make install, can usually be uninstalled with the "make uninstall" target.

If you just want to delete a library file and not all of the files that a package supplied, you can simply delete it. Any software dependant on that version of the library will not run.
