Unhappy Unable to setup my fedora and ADSL modem

Hi, I was a little unsure whether to write this in the newbie section or here (I decided here cause it's a fedora question, not because I'm not a newbie ).

The problem is this, I've installed Fedora (core2 test3) the installation went smooth, no hick ups or anything. But i seem not able to connect to the Internet. I have searched this forum and tried all things pertaining to ADSL to no avail .

I have the following system:
AMD K6-2 1000MHz CPU (if I remember correctly )
ASUS A7V Motherboard
256 Mb Memory
RTL-8139 Ethernet Card
M5122 Nokia ADSL Modem

I connect to Telia ADSL 0.5Mbit (Sweden), they use DHCP (nonstatic IP) and the require me to login to a website login1.telia.com

I've noticed that allot of the help on this forum is directed to users with ADSL-Modem/Router, but I think that my modem does not function as a router (just a switch), I can connect 4 computers in a network but only one of them can actually use the internet.

Help would be very much appreciated.

if your modem has a lan port like most do im guessing you could plug that in to the internet port on a router wich would be the easyest way to do it if you dont have a router you can find them for around $30-$40

good luck

Interesting solution

So your solution would be to by a router and, then configure it like i had a Modem/router "builttogether" combo, hmm.

Could acctually work .

But im not sure im willing to lay down money on a system well outdated (and not perfectly stable, a burning PSU can do that to a computer ).

But if no one else have any suggestions, thats the way i have to go

Nope no PCI-modem

No it's a Free standing modem connected to the comp with just a TP-cable.
Now when the weekend is over i'm gonna start experimenting again.
