Unable to retrive software information

Hi,
When I try to add remove it shows error "Unable to retrive software information". It is making problem after I was trying to follow the instruction from-
http://stanton-finley.net/fedora_cor...ion_notes.html

How will I solve this problem?

Also how will I select my install media as CD, not internet(by default it downloads from the net)?

Thanks in advance.

see netscapers, thread, adding removing software core5.
There's a problem pointing yum at the CDs if you know which cd you need, and there are no dependcies on other CDs it will work.
Think it works fine with a DVD.
Other wise you need to store all the rpms on your harddrive.
