Unable to connect to X server after su

Hi Folks,

I have installed FC5 on my Dell Precision 360. Running the Gnome desktop everything works fine, but if I "su" to another account on the same machine, I can't connect to the X server on the desktop. For example, if I do:
smart:user1% xhost +
access control disabled, clients can connect from any host
smart:user1% su - user2
Password:
smart:user2% setenv DISPLAY smart:0
smart:user2% kcalc
kcalc: cannot connect to X server smart:0

Oddly, it works fine if I rlogin or ssh from another machine running RHE3.

Any ideas please?

Thanks and best regards -- Tkit
