udev failed on FC5 bootup


my newly installed FC5 starts and boot, but during the boot up, I see this line:
Starting udev: wait time out, will continue in the background[failed]

what do I have to do to investegate if further. or should I ignore it?

I had this problem in the past a couple of times. It always happened on a fresh install. After updating all of the patches, it never happened again. This could be the problem, but the again, it could be something else.

How?

I'm really noob with linux, and was wondering how you would update when udev failed?
